Camos advised that they have reduced the cost of the full range of products as follows.

Camos In-Motion units has had £500.00 slashed of the price and the Static version has been reduced by over £200.00.

Overview
With all the advantages of a dome satellite dish, this model is designed for use when the vehicle it’s on is not moving. This makes it ideal for caravanners, motorcaravanners and boaters who just want to switch on their satellite TV system, sit back and relax.

As with all Camos dome systems, it’s incredibly easy to use and even installation is quite within the capabilities of any competent handyman. With just one cable to connect to the controller and no need to screw the unit to the roof (special adhesive is supplied), it’s also very easy to fit.

The system runs on any voltage between 10V-30V and uses less than 2 Amps when searching and none at all when the satellite has been located.

It can pick up TV & radio from SKY & other broadcasters all over Europe (as with any satellite TV system, what you receive will depend on where you are and what type of receiver you use) thanks to its ability to find 7 different satellites. A SKY digibox or any other satellite receiver can be connected to the system.

We recommend this model when maximum range is required.

Morocco_069The one big shortfall of satellite TV programming in Motorhomes and any other moving vehicle for that matter has always been that the signal couldn’t be received while the vehicle was moving down the highway. This was just something that people who had these mobile satellite dishes accepted and they worked their way around this shortfall the best that they could.

Motorhome owners would pre-record programming and then replay this recorded programming while they were on the road, or they had DVD players installed in their motorhomes along with their satellite dish systems. They made full use of their satellite dish after they had arrived at their destinations and set up the satellite dish on a tripod, or the roof of the motorhome.

Truckers could never have a satellite system installed, because of the dish. No truck driver in his right mind would install a big cumbersome satellite dish on the roof of the trucks2007-06-24 08.27.40 cab and besides they had enough work to do when they came to a stop other than messing with a dish that had to be set up. This is why truck drivers only used DVD players in their cabs when they had a video entertainment system installed.

The Mobile satellite dish changes all of these things and more with their revolutionary new form of satellite entertainment technology. To start with Mobile Satellite Dish has one-hundred channels of great Dish Network programming that can be received while the vehicle is zooming down the motorway. It works just like Dish Network satellite programming that is received in a home, in that all that a person has to do to watch it is pick up the TV remote, point and shoot.

The New Mobile Satellite Dish also completely does away with the traditional satellite dish on the roof or on a tripod and replaces it with a technologically advanced streamlined receiving antenna that hugs the roof of the vehicle it is mounted on. Unlike the satellite dish of the past, this state of the art antenna never has to be touched again after it has been installed, so it functions just like any other antenna that is mounted on a vehicle.

The reception is clear and it works anywhere in the continental U.S. so this new system renders mobile satellite systems of the past completely obsolete. Dish Network also has a handy little device called Pocket Dish that can be used with this system. With Pocket Dish a person can record and store Dish network programming in their home and then take it with them on the road to play on their Mobile Dish system.

Dish Network also gives free Sirius satellite radio with their programming packages now and that includes satellite radio for their car, truck and RV as well as their home. So it seems that for the person looking for the absolute latest in mobile satellite entertainment technology for their vehicle, the folks at Dish Network have all of their bases covered.

We bring you some sad news from the manufacturers of the Camos Dome Satellite Dish.

As of today the Camos 40cm In-Motion Satellite Dish with Multi LNB will no longer be produced.

When speaking to camos they advised that the unit just didn’t produce the quantity of sales they requires. This coupled with the high cost of manufacture made the unit to expensive to produce.

However, this is not all bad as its rumoured that Camos intend to produce the long awaited static version of the multi LNB satellite dish.

Watch this space for more information.
